1 Samuel 17: 46-47
”46 This day the Lord will deliver you into my hands, and I’ll strike you down and cut off your head. This very day I will give the carcasses of the Philistine army to the birds and the wild animals, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel. 47 All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the Lord saves; for the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give all of you into our hands.”
For the past few days I have been extremely restless. Tossing & turning, taunting & teasing, just mentally alllll over the place. Realizing that life as I once knew it is coming to an end! JESUS , JESUS , JESUS!!! Ending two decades with a man I once could not visualize left without! Wow!!! Just WOW!!!
Now as I prepare to fight my Goliaths; the Holy Spirit has continually shown me that this battle is not mine! Looking at my finances, I am constantly reminded that I just can not afford an extensive battle... BUT GOD! My daughter and I are in need of a place to call our own. I am renting a car to ensure I can get her back & forth to school as well as get myself to work... YET GOD! He has allowed us to be blessed by some truly genuine people that has been nothing but unmeasurably priceless during this transitional season! LORD, I THANK YA!
While reading the book of 1 Samuel chapter 17, I clearly heard the Holy Spirit speak to me. He said... “ Stop trying to do this on your own! Stop trying to be petty & messy and read this world! You are allowing your Goliaths to taunt you and cause fear in you because you have not studied my word! Become fearless like David! You don’t need to look like you’re going to battle, you just need to confront your Goliaths and decree my word!!!“
“THAT ON THIS DAY, THE LORD WILL DELIVER THEM INTO MY HANDS AND I WILL STRIKE YOU DOWN!”
So on THIS day... I will proceed to listen to what the Holy Spirit says and use my God giving resources to FIGHT MY GOLIATHS!!!
